The lservrc file is the heart of your CSI license. If this file is missing or corrupted, the "Unable to find a license" error is guaranteed. Go to the ETABS 18 installation directory. Look for a file named lservrc (it has no file extension).
If ETABS cannot find your network server, you can manually point the Windows operating system to the correct IP address or Hostname.
Sometimes, the Windows Firewall flags the license check as suspicious activity. Temporarily disable your firewall to see if ETABS launches. unable to find a license etabs 18
Ensure your maintenance agreement is active, as ETABS 18 requires a specific license version string. 5. Disable Firewall and Antivirus Temporarily
